Costa: Perro 4 life
Less then a week into our stay we met one of the most good natured and agreeable creatures I've ever encountered. He was lethargic, hungry and plagued by aliments. But this dog was well mannered, dignified and radiated more personable attributes then some people I've met. Reflecting the condition we found him in - or more accurately, the condition he was in when he found us - we named him Flea. Odd perhaps, but it suits him. If a month ago someone had asked me if I preferred dogs or cats, I would have said cats, hands down. The cunning and independent spirit of cats is something I have always admired. But since meeting Flea I've flipped 180. He is a companion, who likes to jog with Jane in the morning, go on hikes, and generally anything and everything that we do. No leashes or corralling, he's right there with us, smiling and running his head off. The hardest part of our friendship was having to administer injections sometimes two a day to nurse him back to health. Sticking him with a needles was one of the hardest things I've ever had to do. But it was all for the better. This dog is a blessed creature.

who kept him...
Flea got all his shots and papers and is now living with Jane in the Hudson Valley. The two of them are moving to Flordia in September.
